Please note: when sending a SIPP contribution by bank transfer the funds will only be available for investment once we have received a completed SIPP Additional Contribution Form to confirm the amount and type of contribution made and we can accept a scanned copy. If we have not received the completed and signed form within 20 days of receipt of the funds then they will be returned to your originating bank account.

When using your debit card to make a deposit online, the money appears in your account instantly and is available to invest after you have received the confirmation email from our payment provider, WorldPay.

When adding cash to your account using your debit card card, the minimum amount is £50. When investing a lump sum directly into a fund using your debit card or setting up a regular monthly investment the minimum amount is also usually £50.
Yes, you can request a CHAPS payment. Keep in mind that there is a £35 charge for this service. You must request your withdrawal over the phone or by email before 3pm for a same-day payment. However, it is important that you have not requested a withdrawal online before requesting a CHAPS payment. We use the Faster Payments service for our cash withdrawals.
There could be a number of factors that mean money deposited to your Bestinvest account via bank transfer has not shown up yet.

We pay 2.98% (as of 29 December 2025) on all cash held in any of your accounts. The interest rate on cash within any account you hold is set by the custodian (SEI) and is subject to change without notice.

For ISA and Investment accounts
Online withdrawals to your bank account are usually processed as Faster Payment, so should reach your account within 1-2 working days.
For SIPP accounts
Withdrawing money from a SIPP may have tax implications. Therefore the process for taking money from this type of account can take longer.
If you withdraw your cash online through your Bestinvest account there will be no charge. It will take 1-2 working days to reach your bank account, and is sent via a Faster Payment transfer.
If you need a CHAPS payment, you will need to contact us on 020 7189 9999 to request this. There is a £35 charge for this service.

Monthly savings is a way to automatically contribute to your account each month via Direct Debit.

The money to purchase your funds will be collected via Direct Debit. The minimum monthly investment into most funds is £50.
Monthly investment savings is only available for funds, not equities, shares or ETFs.

If you set up a new monthly saving or make changes to an existing monthly saving on or after the 10th, the change may not be collected in the current monthly saving cycle.
If you want to remove a monthly saving, remove it in your Bestinvest account and cancel your direct debit mandate with your bank.
We don't currently allow you to select a specific date for your monthly saving to be collected. All monthly savings are collected on or around the 25th of the month.

It's free. There's no charge for setting up monthly cash or investment savings. We simply charge the ongoing service fee which is collected monthly in arears and is based on the value of the assets you hold. If you have a SIPP there is also the minimum £10 per month service fee.
Don’t worry, if you’ve set up a monthly saving that will take you over your ISA limit, we will spot these, put it on hold and send you an email letting you know we haven’t processed it. Your saving will then restart automatically once you have unused allowance again, for example at the start of the new tax year.
